MBST and Sports Injuries
We treat a host of conditions with our MBST cell regeneration device, often related to joint degeneration and arthritis, as well as spinal disc issues, but MBST is increasingly being used for sports injuries and is expanding within the elite sporting arena.
Already working with Wreham FC and Charlton Athletic, we’re excited to share the news that Bath Rugby is the first professional rugby club to integrate MBST technology as part of its ongoing player performance and recovery programme.
The Future of Player Care
MBST cell regeneration devices have been installed to support the club’s sports medicine team in optimising rehabilitation, managing joint and soft tissue injuries, and maintaining long-term musculoskeletal health.
Rory Murray, Head of Medical Services at Bath Rugby, said:
“Having MBST devices on site to enhance our injury rehab and management is hugely exciting. Injury is a big part of our sport, and how you handle each player’s recovery can really determine success.” Watch the Video
How MBST is used in Sport
Supporting patients at every stage of their sporting career
Recovery: Supports natural healing and rehabilitation, helping you return to activity safely and effectively
Performance: More time training, less time recovering, helping you stay focused on progress, not setbacks
Prevention: Targets inflammation early to support recovery and reduce the likelihood of recurring injury
Legacy: Helps former athletes stay active, manage old injuries, and maintain long-term physical health
How MBST can Help
You don’t have to be an elite sports person to benefit from MBST treatment. Anyone can suffer an acute trauma injury, it doesn’t have to have occurred while playing sport.
MBST treats:
- Cartilage damage and degeneration
- Muscle, ligament and tendon Injuries
- Tendinopathies
- Bone fracture and oedema
- Chronic inflammation and delayed healing
- Spinal disc issues
- Joint pain and arthritis
